Paganello XX Part 3: Team

The lineup is pretty much final now. There’s Swedish west coast, east coast, Bible belt, winner-of-Swiss-nationals almost-Swedish-ex-pat, Paga Spirit winners, Titanium rods, fiance and fiancees, fathers, ze Germans, Canadians ey, Colt .45-players and critics. Will we have an Italian wedding this time around??

To finish off, yes, Sweden and Switzerland are different countries! We got hard-to-sell car companies and Ericsson mobile phones while Switzerland got chocolate, cheese and great slopes. You might wonder why one would stick around up here instead of hitting the European mainland? The rest of the country seems to suck when it comes to government, opening hours, etc. Someone to contradict me? :D

A Stockholm Syndromes website update is en route.. Hopefully better looking and easier to maintain than the present..

Winter Trophy ‘10

Another edition of Winter Trophy has ended. Our performance was pretty piss-poor. Lost every game on Saturday. Against Carnegie, I probably played one of my worst games ever. We played Frizzly Bears (L:11-13), Viksjöfors (L:4-13), Frövi (L:9-12), Carnegie (L), Mönsterås (W:13-(something less than 8)) and Farmers (W:12-11). We lost 5 consecutive points to Farmers before winning..

Viksjöfors (SWE) won the open final against Karhukopla (FIN), and Viima (FIN) won the women’s final against The Animals (GB).

I must commend the Winter Trophy TO’s for the whole setup with the accommodation/dinner/party included in the player fee. Apparently the Saturday buffet kept running out of chicken, but I never really suffered from it since I had sushi somewhere completely different.

No Breaks #6 saw the light of day around February 5th. I’m bringing my LED discs to Paga for sure. The Thursday night party with free pasta and red wine wouldn’t be the same without LED discs!
